Nicole ends up at Brady's door. The connection remains between them. Later, Nicole makes Arianna think that something more went on. While Nicole and Gabi are together and Arianna is left alone, Brady is attacked. Gabi and Nicole have words. When Nicole leaves, an injured Brady falls into her arms. Nicole and Gabi rush him to the hospital. Gabi is forced to provide an alibi for Nicole. Nicole notes that Arianna is the one with no alibi.
The next day, Hope wakes to find her makeup out. She talks to Ciara who tells her that mommy left it out. Hope receives a call from Roman about Brady. She rushes to the station. Roman believes that Hope is the wrong person for the case but she disagrees. Roman shows Hope the symbol put on Brady and she knows what it is. Hope asks Brady if a woman attacked him.
Arianna shows up at the hospital feeling guilty that she wasn't with Brady. Later, Nicole and Brady bond. When Arianna comes back we see Nicole's hatred of her. Vivian overhears. Later, Nicole learns about an illegal gambling ring and wants to check it out for a story.
Sami picks up EJ from the hospital and runs into Roman. She tells him she is moving in with EJ, and Roman thinks that is a terrible idea! Sami explains it is only temporary. EJ assures Roman that Sami will be fine. Later, Sami remembers EJ kissing her and decides she can't live at the mansion. She leaves and EJ is devastated. Later, Sami returns and EJ realizes that Stefano was behind her townhouse pipe bursting. Meanwhile, Sami has it out with Will and turns to EJ for comfort. She tells EJ about the kiss he doesn't remember.
EJ is astonished to learn that he kissed Sami. He apologizes and assures her that there is no need to feel uncomfortable. Unaware that EJ is hiding his true feelings, Sami pushes aside her own discomfort. They go for a family swim with Johnny. The sexual tension between Sami and EJ is palpable.
While in South America, Anna runs into Calliope. She learns that Calliope knows nothing about the kidnapping. Calliope wants to hang out, but Anna isn't so sure. Later, we see a guilty Calliope telling Rafe "it's done." Rafe wires Calliope to work Anna and get her to confess details about the kidnapping. Calliope almost blows it, but finally wears Anna down to agree to tell her everything. Rafe listens in.
Calliope extracts the whole kidnapping tale from Anna and reports to Rafe with the tape. Unfortunately, she has no information about her accomplice and Rafe sends her back in to get what he needs. Calliope questions Anna but she arouses suspicions.
Nathan is feeling uneasy about Chloe's secret. Meanwhile, Stephanie throws out her birth control. Later, she and Nathan make love. Melanie overhears Philip trying to warn Chloe about Carly and wonders what is going on. Philip covers his guilt about the incident with Chloe. He tells Melanie about Chloe's hysterical pregnancy. Melanie and Philip make love.
Melanie finds Stephanie's birth control pills and confronts her. She lies and says she lost them. Melanie doesn't believe her. She contemplates telling Nathan, but Brady advises her against it. Stephanie is angry when she realizes Melanie said something to Brady. Melanie advises Nathan not to rush into a relationship. He assures her that Stephanie knows he is not ready for anything serious. At the same time, Stephanie throws her pills off the pier.
Stefano tells EJ not to give up on Sami moving in. Elsewhere, Kate finds an old picture of herself and Madeline.
Victor and Maggie visit Brady at the same time. Maggie is moved by Victor's compassion for his grandson. She asks him to drive her home and tells Victor she has decided to help him mend fences with Philip. Later, Maggie has a spell and collapses in Victor's arms. Maggie and Victor continue to bond and Vivian is not happy.
Chloe comes to believe that Carly was behind setting her up. She later returns home to find Carly and loses it, saying that she knows what Carly is doing to her and Daniel! Daniel comes home and Chloe lays out the whole tale, but he is sure Carly didn't do what Chloe is saying. Later, they track down the motel clerk, who lies and says he has never seen Chloe. Chloe asks Daniel if he believes her. He assures her that he does but really is not sure what to think. Daniel confronts the clerk and his doubts are confirmed. Chloe later overhears Daniel tell Carly that he believes her. Chloe is devastated. Vivian realizes that Chloe may be in for a fall. She suggests to Chloe that they work together.
Will finds the old photo of Kate and Madeline. He and Chad realize that their mom/grandma used to be friends. Chad confronts his mom about telling him to stay away from Will. Madeline covers, and has it out with Kate. She threatens Kate and Stefano, saying they have a lot more to lose. Later, Chad decides to find out what's up with his mom and the DiMeras.
Nicole goes undercover at a poker game. There she sees Brady's money clip and threatens the gambler to tell her where he got it. Baker gets a call to return to the gambling game and is shocked to see Nicole. She makes it clear that she knows that he is behind the muggings and vows to turn him in. She knows she will be a hero in Brady's eyes. After putting Ciara to bed, Hope takes a pill and goes to sleep. Hope awakens and leaves quickly. She goes to the poker game, where she warns Baker about Nicole and tells him to get rid of her. Later, Hope tells Ciara never to rely on a man- only herself.
Nicole arrives at the station and sees Brady and Arianna kissing. She overhears Arianna reiterate that she has no alibi. Nicole goes back to Dr. Baker and says they can make a deal, if his next victim is Arianna. He says he will consider her request to frame Arianna. Meanwhile, Arianna realizes she's the one with the issues. Brady and Arianna seem to be good, both unaware that Nicole is setting Arianna up.
Nicole makes arrangements with Baker to set her plan in motion. Nicole and Brady have a heated moment, which unnerves Brady. Arianna catches Nicole trying to steal her wine glass and wonders what she is up to. Nicole makes up the excuse that she is doing it for a story. After she transposes Arianna's prints onto a flashlight she meets up with Baker to give him the evidence to frame Arianna. Later, Brady and Arianna fight about Nicole.
Nicole learns that Arianna stormed out after a fight with Brady and is in her room, alone. She tells Baker who takes the evidence with him when he leaves with Hope to knock out Roman.
Sami and EJ almost kiss, but Will interrupts. He accuses Sami of falling into EJ's arms only because Rafe is gone, but she denies it. EJ has hope that she is developing feelings for him. Stefano continues to assure EJ that no one will ever find Anna. Rafe sends Johnny a FBI jacket and EJ realizes that he can never be a hero in his children's eyes. Sami assures EJ that he is their father and no one can take his place. He and Sami are closer than ever. Meanwhile, Rafe convinces Calliope to return to Anna.
While Rafe listens in, Calliope diffuses Anna's suspicions and convinces her to reveal who helped her with the kidnapping. Anna says she will tell her everything, but is so emotionally spent and drunk that she falls asleep. A guilt stricken Calliope starts to unravel and Anna yanks out Calliope's wire. Calliope and Anna share an emotional farewell. Anna tries to make a break for it, but Rafe stops her. Rafe tries to break Anna and get her to talk about her accomplice.
Phillip reaches a rapprochement with Victor while Melanie worries about Daniel. Melanie confides in Maggie that she doesn't think Chloe is the right person for her dad.
Carly tries to defend Chloe, but Daniel doesn't understand why she would go to such lengths. Carly wonders if maybe Chloe didn't make this up. Melanie asks if everything is okay and Daniel admits that he and Chloe are having troubles. Melanie tells him that Philip told her about the hysterical pregnancy. Daniel is somewhat shocked as he was unaware that Chloe and Phillip were so close. Meanwhile, Chloe resists joining forces with Vivian and feels that she has to come clean with Daniel. Ultimately, she tells Daniel she did a terrible thing. Chloe confesses to Daniel that she hates Carly for giving him a child and she fears she is losing her mind. Daniel blames himself and she is unable to tell him about the affair.
Vivian is jealous about Victor and Maggie's new friendship, so she moves up the wedding date!
After learning that Chad is going to Wake Forest in the fall Mia decides she might drop out of school and go to New York to study dancing. Chad tells Madeline he is having second thoughts about going away to college. He realizes his mom is eager to get him out of Salem and wants to know why. Maggie convinces Mia to not drop out of school and stay with her.
Philip makes Melanie a romantic dinner and she talks about the troubles between Daniel and Chloe. Philip learns that Nathan knows Chloe had an affair.
Melanie notices Stephanie isn't drinking and calls her on it. Stephanie tells her to butt out. Melanie accuses Stephanie of trying to trap Nathan by getting pregnant. Stephanie accuses her of not being over Nathan. Later, Nathan meets up with Stephanie. They go home to make love. Melanie tells Philip about the fight and how glad she is that they can be honest with each other.
Hope doesn't remember another conversation with Ciara. She expresses her concern for Ciara to Justin and he worries about Hope. They bond. Hope tells him how worried she was when he was mugged. Justin convinces her to go to bed. After taking her pill, she gets up and leaves. Hope listens in as Baker refuses to name his partner to Nicole. Nicole gives in as long as Baker agrees to frame Arianna. Nicole leaves and Hope moves in, insisting that Baker not frame Arianna. She won't sell another woman down the river. Baker agrees.
Hope and Baker attack Roman. Hope nearly catches Baker as he plants evidence for Nicole. When Roman wakes up Abe tells him that they have a clue; the perp left evidence behind. Elsewhere Baker complains that Roman had so little cash. Hope goes off on him and explains her reasons for choosing the victims. Hope is getting close to her ultimate target – Bo! Baker is desperate to leave town.
Brady and Nicole arrive on the scene as Caroline exits the pub with Arianna. Arianna says she woke up, heard a thud, and then Caroline came down and found her. The cop wants them to go to the hospital for statements. Arianna and Nicole have words at the hospital. Nicole tries to shed light on Arianna's lack of alibi, but Brady breaks it up. Nicole then connects with Baker who tells her it's done. Elsewhere, it is revealed that Arianna's prints are on the evidence left behind. Later, hairs matching Arianna's are found.
Bo and Carly are reunited, but Roman's mugging brings them into contact with Hope. Bo questions Roman about his attack, but they come up with nothing. Meanwhile, Baker fears the wrath of Nicole and Hope.
Rafe presses Anna to tell him about the kidnapping, but she stalls. She attempts an escape but is thwarted at every turn. Rafe gets tough with her, but just when she's about to tell all, she starts to choke. He thinks she is faking to get out of questioning. When she collapses, he realizes she is truly ill and was poisoned. The doctor tells Rafe that things don't look good for her. The doctor gives Anna a risky antidote to the poison. Rafe tries to talk Anna into consciousness and tell him who did this. She finally opens her eyes.
EJ and Stefano worry about Anna not checking in. Stefano reassures EJ that he has taken care of it. Elsewhere, Sami insists to Brady that she doesn't have feelings for EJ. She arrives home and learns that EJ has talked to Will who thaws to Sami. Will agrees to join EJ and Sami for family game night - drawing Sami closer to EJ.
Sami can't get Sydney to stop crying but EJ can. Sami comments on the bond between EJ and his daughter - one that was not broken when she was kidnapped. EJ stuffs his guilt and reassures Sami about her own role in Sydney's life. Sami assures EJ that he's not a bad guy after all. Elsewhere, Stefano gets cryptic updates on Anna's condition.
Sami and Will lose ground when she finds out he's getting a "D" in one of his classes. She grounds him. Will blames her because Rafe was tutoring him and Sami blew that. EJ tries to mediate. Stefano sees Will is upset and offers to help make the "D" disappear. EJ is against what Stefano is offering. Will leaves and EJ tells Stefano to back off. Sami overhears EJ's protectiveness and responds. They move in for a kiss…
Chloe freaks when she believes Carly overheard her talking to Nathan. She tears into Nathan and accuses him of wanting to get back into Melanie's life. Nathan backs off and says he's staying out of it. Chloe thinks her secret is safe but Carly tells her she overheard her talking to Nathan and comes to the realization she cheated on Daniel. Carly threatens that if she doesn't tell Daniel the truth, Carly will. Chloe acquiesces. Meanwhile, Daniel goes to Father Matt with an idea of what needs to be done about Chloe. Daniel comes home and wants to marry Chloe ASAP. She is thrilled and decides to wait to tell Daniel she's cheated on him.
Ciara wonders about the wallets she pulls from under Hope's bed. Meanwhile, Hope tells Arianna that these attacks are nothing more than a desperate cry for help. Later, Hope shows up to Bo's with Ciara. She confides in Bo regarding Ciara's problems. Ciara brings up having a treasure box and claims that Hope has one, too.
Brady is stunned to learn of Arianna's juvenile record as a gangbanger but maintains his faith in her. DNA results show Arianna's hair was at the crime scene. Arianna is devastated by Brady's reaction. She is arrested and led off by Hope. Meanwhile, Nicole is thrilled that her plan is working. Nicole warns Baker that the muggings have to stop now that Arianna is in jail. Baker is worried that he won't be able to control Hope.
Nicole is about to do a piece on Arianna but Philip orders her not to. Nicole never intended to attack her – she defends her – knowing she'll score with Brady. He hears the piece and is touched. Nicole and Brady share a nice moment. Later, Brady goes to Arianna who doesn't want to see him. She turns down his offer to help.
Stefano interrupts Sami and EJ's close moment. EJ claims relief that things didn't go further. Sami agrees, but EJ pushes too far. Sami maintains that that she still loves Rafe. EJ knows Rafe is never coming home. Meanwhile, Rafe is arrested and tossed into a South American jail. He meets his new cellmate – Shane Donovan! Rafe immediately recognizes him as Sami's uncle. Shane explains he's been imprisoned for a year after an ISA mission gone wrong. They agree to help each other escape.
Kate and Madeline have it out. It is revealed that Madeline was once a hooker, too. Will introduces Chad to Stefano. Madeline sees and is furious. Later, Madeline tells Stefano if he goes anywhere near her son she'll reveal the tape and destroy his life.
Vivian summons Brady, Bo, Philip and Daniel who rush to be with Victor. They learn that Vivian and Victor are getting married. Everyone is shocked and wants to leave. Nicole and Kate have mixed feelings over Victor marrying Vivian. Maggie realizes that Victor is marrying Vivian to protect his family. Vivian witnesses a warm moment between them. Victor and Vivian are shocked to see everyone stay for the ceremony. Victor objects and Vivian is shocked. He says that Vivian has caused them all great pain but she is the woman for him. Later, Victor blames Carly. Vivian toys with Carly and Kate.
Daniel tells Chloe he doesn't deserve her and pledges his love to Chloe, which weakens her resolve. Chloe goes to the hospital where Carly asks if she has told Daniel the truth. Chloe says she can't but Carly doesn't care.
