Nicole can't believe that her relationship with Brady is really happening. He shows up and they make love. Brady finds the picture from Nicole's sonogram. They share a moment of remembrance until a phone call from Dr. Baker interrupts them. He has been arrested and needs Nicole to bail him out. She rushes to the detective area and tells Baker a third party will take care of him the next day. Meanwhile, Brady finds Nicole's bank statement showing a $5 million transfer into an offshore account. He confirms it is probably illegal. He gives Nicole a chance to come clean but she doesn't. Brady makes angry love to her. He then denounces Nicole and tells her that he knows she lied.
Brady confronts Nicole who only proclaims her love for him. Brady forces her to go to the station to fess up to where she got the $5 million. At the station, she sees Dr. Baker. Before he can say anything, he sees Hope and cries out to her. Baker tries to prevent Hope's confession. He doesn't rat out Nicole for framing Arianna, either. Brady attacks Baker, assuming he was the one who drugged Brady. Later, Brady tells Nicole that he won't turn her in, but he's done with her – she's dead to him. Brady leaves. Nicole collapses in tears.
Bo begins to realize the truth about Hope. Justin further confirms his suspicions. Later, Hope calls Bo and, using Ciara as a cover, explains that she needs to see him. Bo returns home, where Hope pulls out a knife and motions to stab him! Bo stops Hope's knife in motion. He feels like his heart has been ripped out when he hears the depth of the pain he's caused her. Bo realizes that Hope's behavior is a side effect of the sleeping pills she is taking but also a result of her deep feelings of betrayal. He videotapes her confession to the muggings and his attempted murder. Hope falls asleep and Bo wonders what he's going to do now.
Bo confronts Hope when she wakes up. Hope doesn't remember the events from the night before so Bo is forced to play the tape he made. Hope is horrified by what she has done. She insists on turning herself in. Bo and Hope face a horrible moment as they tell Ciara that mommy is going away.
Hope confesses in front of everyone at the police station. Bo and Hope realize Baker must have been her accomplice. They show Roman Hope's recorded confession. Hope apologizes to Roman for mugging him. She turns in her badge and tells Bo to arrest her. He does.
Carly swabs Daniel's cheek to get his DNA sample. She realizes that Daniel and Melanie will never forgive her if they discover she's lied again. Carly confides to Chloe what she has on the line. Chloe feels bad. Chloe and Carly make secret plans to visit St. Mary's in the morning – as do Daniel and Melanie.
Chloe and Carly bond as they await the test. Carly is shocked to see Melanie at St. Mary's. She's unaware that Daniel has gone to Chloe's room, mistaking her for his patient. Daniel speaks to a shocked Chloe through the exam room curtain. Chloe manages to avoid speaking to Daniel but can't help but let out a sob as she's touched by his words. Daniel wonders if he knows the patient. Carly stops Daniel from uncovering the truth. Chloe has the amnio test done and is informed that she will receive the results on her birthday.
Melanie is offered a job at St. Mary's Hospital. Sister Anne asks to meet with Melanie on the date of Chloe's birthday. Melanie is in a good mood off the job offer and is impressed with Carly's story of an immigrant woman she is helping. She finally calls Carly "mom". Elsewhere, Chloe is about to sneak out of the hospital when Daniel catches her. Chloe covers that she was looking to spend the day with him.
Bo supports Hope who is horrified by her actions and apologizes to Justin. Meanwhile, Carly is horrified to find out how troubled Hope has been. She and Bo blame themselves for Hope's mental break. Bo says he needs to be there for Hope and Ciara. Later, Hope is booked. Doug and Julie learn what Hope has done. Later, Hope breaks down in Doug's arms. He comforts her, saying she'll always be his princess.
Abe comes to see Hope. She apologizes for hurting him. Abe forgives her and wants to help. Hope is worried about her family and her kids. Lexie arrives and promises to help with Ciara. Later, Bo throws EJ out after he threatens Hope. Bo follows EJ to the DiMera mansion and says that if anything happens to Hope, he will kill him.
Stephanie decides that Philip's secret has something to do with Chloe. She runs into Philip and Chloe discussing the father of her baby. They cover but Stephanie still presses Philip for information when they are alone. Stephanie learns that Chloe's story conflicts with Philip's. Stephanie lets herself into Daniel's apartment to look around. She hides when Chloe and Daniel enter. She learns Chloe is pregnant, that Philip and Chloe made love and that he might be the father of her child. Stephanie also learns of the paternity test. Philip fears that if the child is his, Melanie will go running back to Nathan. Later, Stephanie goes to St. Mary's to see if she can get the results of Chloe's paternity test. Melanie catches her trying to access the computer.
Maggie tells Victor they need to help Hope – not blame her. She thanks Victor for being her friend. Vivian finds Victor with Maggie and vows to put an end to her. Caroline continues to be snarky with Maggie. Victor sees Brady drinking and realizes it is over Nicole. He warns Brady to stay away from her.
EJ comes to give Baker a piece of his mind. Baker tells EJ and Sami some hard truths, which further bond them together. Roman is deeply disturbed by Sami's consideration of EJ's marriage proposal. Sami accepts EJ's marriage proposal but is unable to tell Rafe. Later, Rafe overhears EJ tell Stefano that he proposed to Sami and she has said yes.
Rafe goes to work out his stress. Meanwhile, Sami confides in Will that she has accepted EJ's proposal. Later, Rafe runs into Sami and wishes her the best. Sami is thrown and follows Rafe into the locker room. She confronts him. He gives her something to think about and then kisses her. Things heat up between them until she asks how Rafe found out. Sami goes off, angry that EJ spilled the beans to Rafe. Later, she confronts EJ who insists he didn't tell Rafe. EJ asks if they are on for the wedding and Sami tells him they are.
Rafe gets a call from FBI agent Tim who tells him the CD is back from lab. Rafe hears EJ on the CD and figures out that he was behind Sydney's kidnapping. Rafe is determined to get more proof from Nicole. Meanwhile, Sami tells EJ she wants to set a wedding date. She tells EJ that she'll never forget he brought Sydney home to make them a family. Will takes his mom to task about marrying EJ, but ultimately just wants her to be happy.
Will invites Chad to the DiMera mansion to work on his project. Will tells Stefano, who admits that Madeline once betrayed him. Stefano fears Chad can't be trusted, like his mother. Meanwhile, Kate overhears DA Woods tell Chad he's not paying for college; he wants Chad out of the house and blames him for Madeline's death. Kate comforts Chad. He rejects her help, saying that she doesn't owe him anything.
Arianna finds Brady drinking alone at the pub and tries to make him stop. Brady assures her he knows what he's doing. Arianna is angry when she realizes Nicole and Brady hooked up and broke up. Brady tells her that Hope is the mugger. Arianna is shocked and leaves to confront Hope. Hope apologizes to Arianna, explaining that she doesn't remember framing her for the muggings. Later, Arianna admits to Gabi she's not sure she can ever forgive Hope, and move on with her own life. Justin and Brady discuss what Hope did to them. Brady resolves to move forward.
Vivian tells Gus she has a plan to get Maggie out of Victor's life. Meanwhile, Victor and Maggie bond. Later, Vivian tells Victor she wants to order an elaborate sarcophagus for his daughter Isabella.
Melanie almost catches Stephanie hacking into computer records. Stephanie calls in an old friend, Ian, from school to help her. She pushes him to get the paternity results, but they haven't been posted yet.
Philip learns Melanie is working with Nathan in a clinic in a bad neighborhood. Melanie is attacked by a sketchy guy at the clinic and Nathan saves her. In the process, he hurts his elbow. Nathan goes home to find Stephanie and Ian together. Stephanie learns about Nathan saving Melanie and sees his continuing love for her. Stephanie breaks into the hospital website and learns the truth.
Rafe goes to Victor for advice about Nicole. He finds Nicole drinking and goes in for the kill. Later, Nicole begs Brady to forgive her. He almost makes love to her, but rejects her outright. She's his worst addiction and he has to kick the habit.
Kate is pleased to see Will and Stefano bonding. She worries about Chad and his father's rejection. Kate has a flashback of Madeline revealing that Chad's real father is Stefano. Later, she questions Lexie about her relationship with Stefano. Lexie admits she sometimes wishes she'd never found out the truth. Stefano warns Will that Chad is not family and never will be.
Daniel hears Chloe and Carly talking and asks where they are going. Chloe covers and says Carly offered to take her out for her birthday. Daniel is impressed that the two of them have bonded and thanks Carly for making an effort. Later, Daniel tells Melanie he wants to throw a party for Chloe. Meanwhile, Carly confirms Chloe's appointment. She tells Chloe to meet her on the pier the next day. Elsewhere, Chloe confides in Father Matt who encourages her to do the right thing. Daniel surprises Chloe on her birthday with a change of plans. Carly ends up going to Saint Mary's alone for the paternity results.
Sami and EJ begin to make love. Sami hesitates and EJ agrees to wait until their wedding night. Sami runs into Brady. Her conviction is shaken. Sami learns from Arianna that Rafe is with Nicole. Sami decides to seek out Rafe. She is horrified when she sees him and Nicole kissing. Nicole sees Sami and begins to kiss Rafe more passionately. Sami is devastated and runs off. Rafe pulls back from Nicole. Later, Nicole sleeps and Rafe pulls the CD of EJ's kidnapping confession from her purse. Meanwhile, Sami runs home to EJ and insists they get married – the next day!
Hope's sentencing is moved up and she wants to plead guilty. Bo wants her to change her mind. Doug and Julie try to talk her out of it. Bo unveils his plan to ensure Hope receives the treatment she needs rather than a harsh prison term. Abe, Justin and Bo testify on Hope's behalf. The judge gives Hope a reduced sentence. Hope is grateful to Bo and they share an emotional goodbye.
Victor reveals to Nicole that he's the one who served her up to Rafe – he's finally gotten his revenge. Meanwhile, Maggie finds Brady drinking alone and promises she won't abandon him. Later, Vivian shows Victor a picture of the sarcophagus for Isabella. Maggie comes upon it and learns of Vivian's plans. Later, Vivian tells Gus that she intends the sarcophagus for Maggie, not Isabella. Gus warns her to be careful and not upset Victor.
Maggie tells Melanie that she has it all now – a husband, father, mother and sibling – so she won't need her anymore. She tells Melanie that she is thinking about going on a trip. Vivian visits Maggie and stumbles upon stationary and travel brochures. She thinks this is perfect!
Stephanie is devastated to learn that Daniel is not the baby's father. She realizes there is only one way to make this better for everyone. Stephanie asks Ian to change the paternity results. Unfortunately, someone has beaten him to it! Stephanie is troubled.
Carly tells Chloe that Daniel is the father of her baby! Chloe is thrilled. She's ready to tell everyone the good news. Carly is pleased that Daniel can finally raise a child. Later, Chloe reveals her baby bump to Melanie and Philip.
Nicole comes to Brady out of fear for her life. She believes EJ will kill her after he finds out what she's done. Nicole begs for Brady's help but he rejects her outright. Nicole learns that her bank accounts have been frozen and decides she can't stay at her apartment. Nicole visits Chloe and finds out she is pregnant.
Sami and EJ's wedding ceremony begins. Roman interrupts. He and Sami have a heart-to-heart. She convinces him to stay for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Rafe is building a case against EJ. He offers Nicole FBI protection but she flees custody. Later, Rafe learns from Gabi that Sami and EJ's wedding is in progress. He bursts in before they are pronounced man and wife. He demands to speak with Sami alone. Sami tells Rafe she saw him with Nicole. Sami agrees to listen to him but insists EJ be a part of the conversation. Rafe confronts EJ and says that he has proof of what he did.
Rafe tells Sami that EJ was the one who had Sydney kidnapped. EJ calls Rafe a liar and tells Sami not to believe him. He tries to prevent Rafe from playing his confession. Sami thinks Rafe slept with Nicole. She slaps him for buying into Nicole's lies. Rafe produces the CD of EJ's admission and again tries to play it. EJ prevents him and they almost come to blows. Sami insists Rafe play it.
Sami learns the truth about EJ stealing Sydney. Rafe leaves with the disk. EJ admits it is true and tries to defend his actions. Elsewhere, Rafe hands over the evidence to Roman.
Sami tells EJ he will never see his kids again. Stefano tries to stop Sami from leaving with his grandchildren. EJ says a painful goodbye to his kids. Later, Stefano blasts EJ for letting Nicole best him. EJ plans to kill Nicole. Meanwhile, Sami expresses regret over her poor choices and shows her gratitude toward Rafe. Elsewhere, Kate is horrified when she realizes she may lose Will over Stefano and EJ's secrets.
Baker baits Bo into attacking him. Roman and Carly tell Bo to get a grip or the case will be thrown out. Later, Bo is left alone with Baker. He blames Baker for what happened with Hope. Baker puts the blame back on him. Bo gives an emotional testimony on behalf of Hope to put Baker away for his crimes. Bo is shocked to discover that Hope is the final witness in Baker's trial. She testifies against Baker, who has a change of heart and pleads guilty - but he's not the only guilty party. Bo thanks Carly for her support. He fears for Hope when he learns that she is to be released into the general prison population. Later, Bo hears Hope calls out for him to save her in a dream.
