Victor wants to take Maggie out to dinner, denying it's a date. Vivian interrupts. Maggie kicks Victor out and tells Vivian she has no desire to steal him. Vivian knows, but in a rare moment of vulnerability, admits Victor cares for Maggie. She's afraid of losing him. Later, Vivian crosses with Jennifer who tells her that Lawrence was a horrible man and if she doesn't see that then she's just as bad.
Stefano tells EJ to leave Nicole to him. He learns that EJ has told Sami he's in love with her. Stefano worries that EJ is setting himself up for a big fall. EJ is confident that he is doing everything right this time. Later, Stefano shows up and torments Nicole, telling her he's seen the proof EJ has on her.
Will and Chad bond and talk about Wake Forest. Kinsey points out to Will that Gabi is at her sister's hearing. Will goes to support her. Later, Will and Gabi share a nice moment by the lake. Will goes to get more food when they run out. At the mansion, he overhears Madeline admit she used to be a call girl. Will leaves and overhears Chad inviting Gabi to visit him at college. Gabi leaves and Will confronts Chad. He's convinced Chad is making a move on Gabi. Chad thinks Will is crazy and realizes his mom was right telling him to stay away. Will tells Chad that his mom is a whore and the two fight. Chad gets Will to admit he overheard Madeline admit she was a call girl. Chad thinks Will heard wrong but is troubled by it.
EJ is set on proving that Nicole framed Arianna. Arianna hopes he can. Nicole's actions outside the courtroom make Rafe suspicious. He gets into Nicole's face as EJ and Arianna show up for the trial. Later, Arianna is released on bail. Brady intends to pay but EJ beats him to it. Rafe isn't happy but Arianna accepts. Later, Arianna gives Brady back his engagement ring. He tells her to keep it – she should hock it to pay EJ back because she shouldn't be in debt to him. EJ lies and tells Nicole that she is right where he wants her. She's going down for setting up Arianna.
Nicole is frustrated that she can't learn what EJ might have on her. She unsuccessfully tries to get something out of Sami. Nicole realizes that she is being followed by one of Stefano's goons and manages to slip away. Later, Nicole lets herself into the DiMera mansion and searches for EJ's supposed proof. In EJ's bedroom she finds a picture of the sonogram of the baby she miscarried. This hits her but she recovers. Nicole secretly records a conversation between EJ and Stefano. To Nicole's shock, EJ spills about being the mastermind behind Sydney's kidnapping.
Nicole reels from what she has learned and calls EJ. Thinking this has to do with Arianna, EJ meets Nicole in a public place. Their past motives and hatred for each other are explored. Nicole tells EJ she heard him last night and knows that he had Anna kidnap Sydney!
Kimberly and Shane work though their issues. They decide to have another go of it – as friends – in Los Angeles.
Hope tells Bo that Arianna was released on bail. She believes Arianna will attack someone else but Bo disagrees. He brings up the divorce papers and Hope is about to ask him to postpone filing when Carly interrupts. Hope changes her mind, telling Bo to go ahead, and then leaves. Carly wonders if Bo has had a change of heart. He hasn't but worries that Hope has become two different people. Carly explains her own unsettling encounter with Hope. They push their concerns aside as Bo expresses his gratitude that Carly is in his life. Elsewhere, Hope turns in early, taking a pill.
Hope calls Baker and makes plans to see him. Elsewhere, Justin learns from Ciara about finding his wallet under her mommy's bed. Hope tries to cover, but when Justin presses, she kisses him. Adrienne shows up with papers for Justin. She learns from Ciara that he's in the bedroom with Hope. Adrienne walks in on Hope and Justin. Hope explains it away as Justin comforting her. Justin later confirms Hope's story even though Adrienne sees her lipstick on his lips. Hope leaves to meet up with Baker, giving him a list of what she needs for things to finally be laid to rest.
Chloe realizes that it was Vivian who drove her to Philip's bed. Later, Carly goes to see Chloe and finds Vivian instead. She realizes that Vivian's hatred for Carly is the reason Chloe did what she did. Carly is at a loss. She shows up at Melanie's house uneasy about Chloe and what to do. Melanie thinks that they need to support Chloe – even though she is worried about her character.
Daniel shows Chloe the christening gown and she nearly breaks down. Carly arrives and Daniel believes she has arrived to make friends with Chloe but it is actually the moment of truth. Carly tells Chloe she will keep her secret provided a paternity test proves the child is Daniel's. Carly tells Chloe how all will go down. It is in Carly's hands now. Chloe insists to Philip that she doesn't know who the father is.
Melanie asks Philip if they can move into their own home so they would have a spare room for a future child. Philip says they can, hiding his guilt and fearing it may never happen.
Nicole confronts EJ. He calls Nicole's bluff, but she reveals what she has taped. EJ destroys the tape but learns there are copies. Nicole has no price for her silence. Meanwhile, Sami and Rafe share an unexpected moment. Nicole tries to tell Sami the truth about EJ, but Sami gets a call. EJ privately tells Nicole that Sami will never believe her. Nicole gets the idea to reveal EJ's guilt on air. Later, Arianna and Brady seem further apart than ever when she receives a call to return to work. They show up just as Nicole goes on air.
EJ interrupts Nicole's broadcast, warning viewers that anything she has to say is a lie. Nicole says she has proof and just as she's about to reveal it she is pre-empted by the network. Sami leaves and Nicole decides to hold her scoop for the right audience. EJ warns Nicole and returns home to Sami. He tries to convince her and the kids to go on an extended vacation. Elsewhere, Brady tells Arianna that Nicole may know him better than she does.
Nicole tries to tell Sami that EJ was behind Sydney's kidnapping. Sami doesn't want to hear it. EJ comes downstairs and throws Nicole out. He presses Sami to go away with him, but she's not ready. Elsewhere, Nicole goes to Brady in response to his message. She considers telling him the truth. Brady expresses his belief in her. Nicole struggles with telling Brady the truth about EJ. He thinks Nicole is hesitating over her involvement in his break up with Arianna. She tells Brady he's right, but she did it out of love. Nicole kisses him and Brady responds. He tells her that he needs to take things slow. Nicole leaves with hope of a future. Later, Marco takes Nicole back to EJ. She tells EJ she won't reveal anything but will make him pay.
Adrienne confronts Hope, but she doesn't know what she is talking about. Adrienne thinks Hope is nuts. Justin sees Hope and references their kiss, but she is clueless. Elsewhere, Abe gets sleeping pills from Dr. Spaceman and learns of the side effects. Later, Lexie discovers Abe is on the sleeping pills. Hope almost learns of it when she shows up for her refill, but they cover. Elsewhere, Justin tells Bo that he and Hope are taking it to the next level. Later, Carly questions Bo's reaction to the news that Justin and Hope's romance is heating up. Bo reassures and kisses Carly. Hope is stung as she watches.
Hope has it out with Carly. Bo subsequently talks to Hope privately. They hash out what went wrong in their marriage. Hope accuses Bo of moving on too soon. She is so upset she goes home and takes a pill. Later, Hope has a friendly encounter outside the pub with a confused Carly. Hope insists she's always admired Carly, especially for taking care of Lawrence. Hope says Carly will have a wonderful future. Later, Carly discusses Hope with Bo. He is determined to get to the bottom of Hope's behavior. Adrienne and Justin also have an encounter. Adrienne crosses with Bo and spills that Justin and Hope kissed. Bo is confused. Hope meets with Baker who demands to know what her plan is. Hope admits that she's going to kill Bo.
Kate is alarmed when Chad begins fishing about Madeline's past. She calls Madeline and warns her. Kate tracks down D.A. Woods and fishes with him but realizes he is clueless. Later, Madeline tracks down Chad and he asks if she was a hooker. He threatens to tell his dad. Madeline finally admits it. She says she needed the money and is angry that his relationship with the DiMeras brought out all her secrets. Chad wonders what other secrets she is hiding. Later, Madeline slips on the pier stairs and stumbles to the ground. Chad rushes to her side. He doesn't understand what Madeline tries to say to him. Elsewhere, Kate and Stefano are shocked to find Chad's mother is in the hospital. Later, Lexie tells Chad that his mother is dead. She explains that Madeline suffered from an aneurysm and would have died even if she hadn't fallen. Later, D.A. Woods is cold to Chad.
Nathan and Stephanie grow closer and consider moving in together. Later, Chloe admits to Philip that Father Matt knows about him. Meanwhile, Father Matt tells Daniel that the annulment is not the reason he will not marry him and Chloe. Later, Daniel confronts Chloe and is close to the truth. He says that Father Matt asked himl to ask Chloe why he can't marry her. Chloe blurts that Father Matt thinks she's a bad person. Daniel doesn't understand. Chloe explains that she has been confiding in Father Matt and he feels she isn't ready to get married. Daniel becomes angry and wants to talk to Father Matt. Chloe tells him to go ahead. Daniel calms down and they make love. Later, Chloe decides she needs to know the paternity of her baby before she marries Daniel.
Chloe seeks out Father Matt and tells him she's pregnant and Philip may be the father. Chloe thinks telling the truth may be her only answer. She goes to the hospital looking for Daniel and runs into Carly who is setting up a paternity test. She's surprised to see how upset Carly is. They bond slightly over the mutual goal of wanting Daniel to be happy.
Hope makes it clear to Baker that tonight she is going to kill Bo. Baker makes a declaration of love, hoping to change her mind. Later, Hope goes into the house and comes face-to-face with Bo. She explains she stopped by to pick up something for Ciara. Bo thinks something is different with Hope's appearance, vibe, and strange behavior. He mentions her kiss with Justin and her hot and cold moments with Carly. Hope loses it. Bo is there for her even if though they are not together. This affects Hope. Bo receives a call from Carly and Hope regains control. She suggests Bo make coffee. When Bo is distracted she dumps her sleeping pills in his cup.
Bo sips from his drugged coffee as he and Hope try to understand where their marriage went wrong. Hope becomes bitter when she realizes that Bo refuses to take sole responsibility. Hope reveals her dark side as Bo passes out. Later, Hope says a final goodbye after she soaks Bo in gasoline, and lights a match.
Daniel shows up at Bo's house looking for Carly. Hope pulls her gun and hides as Daniel tries to revive Bo. Daniel manages to save Bo. Roman arrives with EMT's on a call from an anonymous tipster. Hope realizes it must have been Baker. Bo is brought to the hospital. Elsewhere, Hope confronts Baker who says he tipped the cops out of love. Hope is worried that Bo will survive and rat her out. She dashes to the hospital to finish him off. Hope slips into Bo's room where he lays unconscious. Later, Roman tells Daniel and Carly that someone was trying to burn Bo alive.
Hope makes one last attempt on Bo's life. She is foiled when Bo opens his eyes and Carly enters the room. Hope goes home, convinced she's about to be implicated, and apologizes to Ciara for failing to protect her. Meanwhile, Bo's condition deteriorates. He urgently tries to tell Carly something. Later, Hope prepares to take a pill and go to bed.
Sami tells Rafe she's permanently moving in with EJ, hoping to reconnect with him as a couple. Rafe hides his devastation, asking if EJ make her happy. Before Sami can tell Rafe she still loves him, they're interrupted. Sami keeps quiet about her feelings and leaves. Rafe doesn't believe that he and Sami are over.
Nicole worries that Brady is still in love with Arianna. He disagrees but won't stop looking for proof of her innocence. Nicole covers her fear that Brady will discover what she's done and wonders if they can ever have a future. Later, Arianna runs into Brady and tries to find a way to reduce the awkwardness. He agrees but resists when she warns him about Nicole. Meanwhile, Nicole goes to EJ, willing to prove Arianna's innocence if he doesn't reveal that she framed her. Nicole and EJ come to a truce, unaware that Rafe has overheard them Unfortunately, Rafe doesn't find out what their secret is. He goes to the DiMera mansion and finds Sami. Rafe tells Sami about the conversation he overheard between EJ and Nicole. Sami accuses Rafe of being jealous and he storms out. Later, Sami has doubts regarding EJ but he tells her that Nicole was trying to make up with him. Sami tells EJ she's starting to trust him more. Meanwhile, Rafe decides to investigate Nicole.
Rafe phones in a false lead and breaks into Nicole's apartment. He finds her coded diary and then escapes in the nick of time. Meanwhile, Nicole realizes she's been tricked and phones EJ accusing him of being behind it. Later, Rafe works on cracking the code. Meanwhile, Nicole suspects someone has been in her apartment.
Victor pays Maggie a late-night visit. Maggie tries to tell him that these late-night talks can't continue. Victor gets a call regarding Bo, so he and Maggie rush out together.
Will apologizes to Chad. Chad feels like he needs to fill in some blanks. Will offers to help. Meanwhile, Kate learns Madeline's safe deposit box was empty. Stefano thinks they have nothing to worry about. Kate realizes she holds the entire cards and Madeline's secret. Kate is surprised that Chad wishes to see her. Chad asks about his mother's past. Kate keeps the truth of Chad's paternity. Elsewhere, Stefano bonds with Will while remaining cool with Chad.
Abe and Lexie take Theo to a session. Theo brings up Aunt Hope's treasure. Abe and Lexie revisit the topic of opening their heart and home to someone else. Theo finds a wallet and tells Lexie that Aunt Hope's treasure looks like this. Meanwhile, Justin tells Hope about Bo's attack. Bo can't remember anything because of the meds. Hope vows to find who did this. Later, Hope tells Bo how much he means to her. She doesn't know what she'd do if she lost him. Bo takes her hand and Carly sees this.
Bo talks Carly into discharging him, hoping that being at home will help him remember. Meanwhile, Justin is annoyed by a strange conversation with Hope. She doesn't recall that they kissed. Later, Carly tries to hypnotize Bo as Hope watches. Carly asks Bo what he remembers. After they are interrupted, Hope goes back home where Dr. Baker calls. Carly arrives and asks Hope for help. Elsewhere, Bo runs into Abe and Theo. He learns that Ciara's treasures were wallets she got from her mommy. Bo questions Ciara who admits to taking the wallets. Some belong to Abe, Justin, and Roman.
Carly explains to Hope why she killed Lawrence. Her explanation rattles Hope as it parallels what 'Nighttime' Hope feels toward Bo. Later, Hope is surprised to find her pill bottle is empty. She takes a pill, found at the bottom of her purse, and wakes up. She thanks Carly for helping her come to a solution regarding Bo.
Maggie shuts down Victor. He goes home and starts drinking. Vivian calls him out on being with Maggie. He refuses to discuss Maggie with her. Victor reminds Vivian of their marriage arrangement. Later, Vivian wishes she could find a way to make Victor love her.
Nathan moves in with Stephanie. She realizes Nathan was keeping a photo of Melanie. Meanwhile, Philip surprises Melanie with the test results of her latest nursing exam along with a necklace. Later, Melanie learns from Adrienne that Philip was at Chloe and Daniel's apartment. Philip explains it was for Chloe but Melanie is slightly annoyed.
Carly tells Chloe she set up a paternity test at Saint Mary's Hospital. Carly is unaware that Daniel will be consulting on a case at the same hospital.
Nicole is unaware that Rafe has made a copy of her diary with all the places she hid evidence against EJ. Brady stops by. Nicole worries when he picks up her diary. Brady offers to help Nicole out but she insists her ship is coming in - she's made some "investments." Rafe thinks he may have cracked the code.
Nicole gets EJ to give her cash in exchange for her silence. She moves the blackmail materials. Meanwhile, Rafe is hot on Nicole's trail.
Sami is hurt when Rafe gives her the cold shoulder. Sami has a tough day with Johnny and EJ helps smooth things over. He blurts that this won't be a problem when they're married. Sami is stunned. EJ broaches the subject of marriage. She is drawn to EJ, but can't give him an answer. Later, Sami goes to Caroline to tell her how torn she is between Rafe and EJ. Caroline surprises her by telling her to marry EJ. Caroline tells Sami if she loves Rafe, she needs to follow her heart. Elsewhere, EJ tells Stefano he brought up marriage to Sami. He speaks of his determination to make sure Sami never learns he was the one who kidnapped Sydney.
Rafe learns all the locations in Nicole's coded diary are empty. He finds one more location. Later, Sami runs into Rafe. She nearly tells him about EJ's discussion of marriage, but stops herself when she notices he is distracted by work. She goes back to EJ, who offers her a sincere and romantic proposal.
Fay calls Nicole and thanks her for money. Rafe shows up at Fay's place of work. Nicole is worried about Dr. Baker and cuts the call short. She asks EJ to loan her Marco. Nicole tells Marco to pay Dr. Baker a visit. Elsewhere, Brady crosses paths with Dr. Baker.
