June 2010 Hope talks to Bo about Ciara's problems. Ciara insists that she didn't make up the story about a treasure box. Hope makes Bo go to her room to see what Ciara is talking about. They're surprised to find a box under Hope's bed, but they find nothing in it. Ciara has the wallets. Later, Hope takes a pill and wakes up with a specific target in mind. She meets up with Baker and chides him over setting up Arianna. She tells him she needs his help with her next target. They go to Bo's house and Baker realizes she isn't going to roll Bo – she wants to kill him! Later, Hope realizes that Ciara has the stolen wallets. As Baker distracts Bo, Caroline and Ciara, she gets them back. Hope shares a moment with Baker and Ciara sees them hugging.
Brady leaves Victor and Vivian's reception early to return to Arianna. Nicole goes with him. Nicole thinks Arianna doesn't deserve Brady. Arianna meets with a public defender who offers little help. EJ shows up to represent Arianna and tells her that he believes her. Arianna asks EJ why he's doing so much for her. Brady walks in on EJ taking Arianna's hand. Brady is hurt when Arianna rebuffs him. Later, Arianna remembers a vital fact with EJ. Nicole realizes that Arianna could now have an alibi and could be exonerated. She leaves and is unnerved at EJ's determination. Later, Nicole goes to Brady and says she has an idea to exonerate Arianna.
EJ confronts a shocked Nicole. He is convinced she is somehow involved in the attacks. He points out that Arianna remembered she delivered a check from Brady to Nicole the night that Justin was attacked. EJ thinks Nicole set up Arianna and intends to prove it. Once he leaves, Nicole meets with Baker.
Stephanie learns that Nathan received an offer from John Hopkins. He would like Stephanie to come with him, but feels it would be asking too much. He tells her he wants to stay. Later, Philip gages Nathan by bringing up Daniel and Chloe getting married. Melanie learns from Stephanie that Nathan is staying in town. Nathan tells her he's staying for a lot of reasons. Stephanie senses something is going on with Philip.
Stephanie learns that Nathan is in no rush to start a family after she makes love to him. She realizes the idiocy of her ways and talks to Adrienne, who suggests she take the Alternative B pill. Later, Nathan surprises Stephanie at her apartment. He sees the packaging in the trash. Stephanie admits that she skipped some birth control and is taking Alternative B but she might already be pregnant. It is clear that Nathan cares about Stephanie and would stand by her. Stephanie gets her period and learns that she is not pregnant. Nathan is happy and they appear to grow closer. Later, Stephanie confides in Caroline about Nathan being the one.
Victor leaves his own reception to go to Maggie and thank her. Maggie has been crying and Victor offers her support. At Maggie's urging, Victor returns home to Vivian, warning her that their deal is off if anything happens to Carly. Later, Victor and Vivian leave on their honeymoon.
Carly tells Chloe she'll back off as long as Chloe is good to Daniel. She learns Melanie believes that Chloe will be trouble for Daniel and finds out from Kate that Chloe cheated on Lucas to be with Daniel. Carly tells Chloe that she changed her mind and can't let Daniel marry her without knowing the truth.
Chloe rejects Vivian's suggestion that she should lure Carly into an elevator death trap. Later, Chloe imagines telling Daniel the truth, just as Carly calls to remind her to tell Daniel. Chloe is at her breaking point. She calls the number Vivian gave her and sets the plan against Carly in motion. Meanwhile, Carly is alone working the graveyard shift at the hospital.
Arianna learns from EJ that her arraignment has been postponed. Arianna hopes Nicole will clear her with their alibi. Meanwhile, Nicole plants seeds of doubt in Brady. She sees DA Woods and lets him overhear her suggestion that she and Brady lie about the alibi. Later, DA Woods tells Arianna that her alibi is shot. Nicole is "upset" that she ruined things for Arianna. Brady takes her in his arms just as Gabi shows up. Gabi is furious with Brady. Nicole defends Brady and takes the blame. Later, Brady tells Arianna that DA Woods overheard Nicole tell him to lie and that Gabi walked in on them while he was comforting Nicole. Arianna realizes that she and Brady have nothing left to say.
Rafe and Shane plan their escape from the South American jail and talk about their troubled love lives. Later, a guard finds them fighting! Rafe and Shane team up on the guard, but another guard shows up. They are taken and beaten, then returned to their cell. However, this was their plan all along – to get a chance to see the layout of the compound.
Sami is up with Johnny and Sydney when EJ comes home. They enjoy family time. Sami praises EJ for his help with Arianna but Johnny interrupts them. Sami is worried for Johnny but EJ reassures her and they bond. Sami confesses to EJ that she can never stop worrying that something terrible will happen. EJ assures her that he will protect her and the kids. Sami kisses him, then abruptly breaks and runs off.
EJ confronts Nicole, convinced she is responsible for the attacks. They painfully rehash their past. EJ comes closer to the truth: that Nicole is determined to end up with Brady. EJ vows to take down Nicole and tells Arianna that he has a plan.
Hope falls apart when she learns from Julie that Alice is dying. Hope arrives to tell Bo about Alice and breaks down in his arms, which Carly sees.
Jennifer drops by and sees how upset Hope is. She tries to comfort her. Later, Jennifer discovers the petition for divorce. She is about to put it back when Hope comes up and is shocked to see the papers. Meanwhile, Bo tells Caroline that Alice always came through for him and she did again today. Bo was going to talk to Hope about the divorce but he's glad he didn't get to. Hope studies the divorce papers. She explains to Jennifer that she had asked for a divorce but didn't realize Bo had gone ahead with it. Later, Hope sees Bo at Alice's. He apologizes but she doesn't want to talk about their future.
Chloe gives the go ahead to fix the elevator so it will kill Carly, but then she has second thoughts. She goes to the hospital and tries to appeal to Carly. Carly loses patience, tells Chloe off, and starts to get on the elevator. Chloe pushes Carly away, but falls in herself and goes crashing to the basement! Daniel and Carly rush to her side and try to save her. Lexie and Carly perform surgery to relieve the pressure on Chloe's skull. Lexie tells Daniel that she's not sure Chloe will recover. Later, Carly explains to Melanie and Daniel how Chloe saved her life.
Carly tells Chloe that she'll give her another chance – but she has to tell Daniel the truth before they get married. Meanwhile, Chloe tells Philip that Carly knows their secret; he urges her not to tell anyone, but Daniel overhears. He questions what the secret is between them. Chloe tells Daniel part of the truth and admits she was scared he would not love her. Later, Chloe asks Philip to get her wedding gift for Daniel from his apartment. While he is there, he runs into Adrienne. He gives an explanation and rushes out. When he returns, Chloe thanks him and each only wishes for the other to be happy. Chloe gives Daniel the gift. He is moved and suggests they still get married right now! Carly overhears Daniel talking to Father Matt. She tells Chloe that she can't let her marry Daniel this way.
Carly reminds Chloe she needs to tell Daniel the truth before she marries him. Chloe asks Carly why she won't let this go. Carly feels she owes this to Daniel and Melanie. Chloe thinks she is a hypocrite. Philip shows up and Chloe informs him that she has to tell Daniel the truth but will keep him out of it. Philip knows Daniel would not just let it go. Meanwhile, Melanie tells Daniel that she has had a change of heart about Chloe. She gives him a religious medal for marriage and Daniel is touched. Stephanie learns from Adrienne about Philip bring at Chloe and Daniel's apartment. She questions Philip and why he's so edgy. Philip says it's none of her business and storms out.
Father Matt arrives for the ceremony but Chloe says she can't go through with it. She says she needs to confess first. Chloe tells Father Matt everything and tries to get him to convince Carly not to tell Daniel. Father Matt refuses and says he won't marry Chloe and Daniel. Chloe tells Daniel it's because he thinks there might be a problem with her annulment from Lucas. Daniel reluctantly agrees to postpone the wedding. He privately leaves Father Matt a message asking if he can help the situation. Meanwhile, Chloe tells Carly she postponed the wedding but hasn't told Daniel she cheated on him. Carly makes a convincing argument why Chloe should tell Daniel.
Brady rejects Victor, knowing he is happy Arianna is in jail. Victor offers his help and a new money clip to remind Brady that he is loved and part of a family. Later, Brady takes out the new money clip and one of Baker's poker players recognizes it. Brady wants Lamar to tell him where he saw the money clip. Lamar hesitates but Brady offers him some cash and buys his way into the poker game. Baker shows up at the poker game and sees Brady. He tells the other players that Brady is the police and gives them something to put in his drink. Brady begins to feel woozy and leaves. Baker follows him. Brady passes out and Baker pours alcohol down his throat. Baker wants to make sure that Brady doesn't remember anything.
Nicole finds Brady passed out and realizes that he is drunk. She is about to take him home when a cop arrives and Brady takes a swing at him. The cop arrests Brady. He ends up in the ER with alcohol poisoning. Nicole is guilt-stricken and goes in to Brady to tell him everything. Nicole is reeling that her actions caused Brady's relapse. Brady corrects her – he didn't drink – someone did this to him. Brady mentions the money clip and Nicole realizes Baker is responsible. Later, Arianna and Brady talk. She thinks Brady has used and he denies it. Brady presses Arianna to believe him but she has her doubts and blames herself for his drinking binge. Brady comes to realize they might truly be over. Nicole goes to Baker and lays into him. Baker counters that he did it because Brady would have found out they were behind everything. EJ runs into Nicole and lies, saying he has evidence on her.
Victor arrives at the hospital and Maggie tries to get him to approach Brady's situation from a more caring angle. Victor does but makes it known that he believes that it's Arianna's fault that Brady was attacked.
Sami and EJ both think about their kiss. EJ believes they need to discuss what it meant. Sami lies down to avoid him. She has a dream in which Rafe comes to visit her. Later, EJ receives a text. Sami grabs the phone and sees learns that the townhouse is finished. EJ wishes that she would stay in the mansion. Sami agrees and tells Will that she's not going back to the townhouse. He buys her reasoning. They go to see Alice and run into Doug and Julie there. Doug is not happy to learn that Will is living at the DiMera mansion. Julie warns Sami not to make the same mistakes she did.
A guard takes Shane to interrogation while another guard shows up to kill Rafe... courtesy of Stefano. Rafe fends off his attacker and kills him. Rafe and Shane escape. Rafe reaches the hospital but Anna is gone.
Marie shows up at Maggie's and they, along with Jennifer, share a bittersweet reunion. Jennifer and Nathan stay with Alice. Later, Jennifer opens the door to Laura and Bill. Melissa and Kayla remember Alice and wonder if they will be in-laws. Meanwhile, Melanie is there for Maggie. Elsewhere, Stephanie and Nathan seem to be getting closer but feelings remain between Nathan and Melanie.
Kate finds out Alice is ill. She is furious with Stefano for not telling her. Kate goes to Alice's house and runs into Bill. He is upset and reminds Kate of the person she used to be. Laura is not happy to see Kate. Kate returns to Stefano and assures him that their marriage is still strong. Bill, Laura and Jennifer have an emotional talk about Alice.
Stefano wants to stop Madeline in her tracks. Kate worries about the incriminating disc/tape. Stefano reveals his plan to Kate. Meanwhile, Chad is setting up his senior party and Madeline is not happy that Will is there. Later, Chad overhears Will talking about the photo of Madeline and Kate. They team up to uncover the truth.
Madeline warns Chad to steer clear of the DiMeras. Chad says he's gone through a lot lately and doesn't need her advice. D.A. Woods and Madeline try to convince Chad to go to Wake Forrest. Elsewhere, Kate is set to go to Madeline's safe deposit box and get the incriminating tape. Later, Madeline realizes that the tape is gone – along with everything else from her safe deposit box – and freaks out.
Kate and Stefano watch the incriminating tape, which reveals a horrible secret that they share with Madeline from years ago. Later, Madeline calls to meet with Stefano. She knows that he and Kate have the tape, among other things. Madeline says they can keep the tape but she wants everything else back. Stefano agrees and tells her that they will put all this behind them now. Meanwhile, Kate goes through the rest of Madeline's things. She opens an envelope that reveals an even bigger secret! Kate is shocked and decides not to tell Stefano what she has learned.
Madeline crosses with Chad. He has rekindled his relationship with Mia and decided to go to Salem U. Madeline surprises him by not arguing. Later, she shows up on Mia's doorstep. Madeline convinces Mia to leave Salem. Later, Mia has an emotional goodbye with Sami and Will.
Kate makes it clear to Madeline that, for now, she is not telling Stefano what she knows. She makes no promises to always keep the secret. Later, Stefano tells Kate he is glad to know she always has his back. Kate is torn about what course she should follow.
Sami welcomes Lucas and Allie back into town. They reminisce about Alice and go to the Horton house to see her. They learn that Alice has taken a turn for the worse. Sami and Lucas bring Allie to see Alice in hopes it will make her better.
Lucas tells Will that Alice doesn't approve of him living at the DiMera mansion. Stefano assures Will he is not as evil as everyone thinks. Will overhears Lucas saying he's going to be staying in Hong Kong indefinitely. Will says he's not going. Later, Will mentions that EJ has been decent to Sami. Lucas can't believe that Sami is going to make the same mistake all over again.
Nicole tries to distract Brady from his investigation into who stole his money clip. She asks him for help with a human interest story. Brady suggests one that investigates Arianna's innocence. Nicole lies about why she can't do that. Brady tells Nicole that he and Arianna broke up. Later, Brady goes to visit Arianna. She apologizes for not believing he didn't do drugs and drink. Brady is still determined to find out who framed her.
EJ tells Arianna that her arraignment is set for the next day but he's unsure whether she'll get bail. Later, he crosses with Nicole. EJ tells her that the proof he has on her will come out at Arianna's arraignment.
Carrie arrives and apologizes to Sami for her mother's role in Sydney's kidnapping. Sami feels like it was karmic payback for all the terrible things she did to Carrie. Carrie disagrees. They share a hug. Sami feels like she brought everything with Rafe upon herself. Carrie tells Sami that if she loves Rafe, she should go after him. Carrie sees that Sami is in love with both Rafe and EJ and warns her that she must choose between them. Meanwhile, Rafe and Shane are headed back to Salem. Rafe is concerned about Sami and anxious to get back to Arianna. Shane is concerned about his family as well. Shane warns Rafe to get Sami away from the DiMeras. Later, Sami is stunned when Rafe shows up on her doorstep.
Chloe convinces Daniel that they must get married right away. He reluctantly agrees. Daniel tells Melanie and she becomes suspicious.. Daniel assures Chloe of his love even though he's worried about her reasons for rushing the wedding. Melanie lends Chloe her grandmother's locket as her something borrowed. Philip shows up and the wedding ceremony begins. Meanwhile, Carly comes out of surgery and learns of the wedding. She interrupts, determined to say her piece. Carly insists she has to talk to Daniel and Chloe in private. Philip and Melanie leave. Chloe is convinced she is going to tell Daniel the truth. Instead, Carly announces that Chloe is pregnant. Chloe tells Carly the test results are wrong. Later, Carly performs a sonogram. Daniel tells Chloe that she is pregnant.
Chloe tries to come clean. Later, Daniel tells Melanie the good news. Meanwhile, Carly confides her dilemma in Jennifer. She reinforces Carly's determination to do the right thing. Later, Carly confronts Chloe and makes it clear she cannot be silenced. Carly prepares to tell Daniel everything, when they are both called away on an emergency. Later, Daniel asks Carly what she was going to tell him. Carly decides that Daniel needs to hear it from Chloe and backs away from the moment. Daniel is happy to take Chloe home and make plans for their baby.
Lexie is stunned when she learns Mike is in the hospital – he got into a car accident on his way to Alice's from the airport. He's determined to see his grandma before she passes, but he's not allowed to leave the hospital. Carrie visits Mike. They are awkward at first but manage to find closure on their past.
Maggie tells Jennifer that Alice has died. Alice's family comes together as they bake her famous donuts and share fond memories. Jennifer works on a family scrapbook. Julie finds a passage she's supposed to read in church – a speech Alice wrote – and breaks down. Bill and Jennifer inform Mike that Alice has died. He's devastated, especially since the hospital won't release him to attend the funeral.
Kimberly arrives at Bo's house. She is in remission from her leukemia. She is in town to mourn Alice.Kimberly admits she never heard from Shane during her ordeal. Roman arrives and says he's not happy with Shane, either. Later, Bo goes to call Carly, and Kayla stops him. Kayla makes it clear she doesn't approve of Bo's relationship. He doesn't care.
Hope breaks the news about Alice over the phone to Shawn D. She breaks down and Doug picks up the pieces. Hope feels like she has let Alice down. Doug offers words of wisdom and notes that Alice didn't feel Bo and Hope were over just yet.
Family and friends give a loving tribute to Alice and say a final farewell at the graveside memorial. At the funeral, Bo provides emotional support to Hope. Later, Kimberly is stunned when she spots Shane. Elsewhere, Stephanie comforts Nathan over his loss. Adrienne slips to Kayla that Stephanie's behavior regarding Nathan has been a bit worrisome.
Sami and Rafe are glad to see one another. Rafe explains how he almost got Anna to talk. He recounts how he ended up in jail and Anna disappeared. Rafe learns that Sami could have moved back to the townhouse, but hasn't. He accuses her of turning to EJ. Sami believes that Rafe is jealous. Rafe denies and claims that he just doesn't want to see her hurt by EJ. Sami and Rafe impulsively kiss. EJ sees this and freaks out. Sami asks Rafe to talk to her about the kiss. He explains it was a kiss goodbye.
Upset EJ confronts Sami and tells her that he loves her. Sami tries to convince EJ that he doesn't really mean it. They can only be friends. EJ thinks Sami feels more for him and gets her to admit it. They almost kiss but are interrupted by a text about Arianna's arraignment. Elsewhere, Rafe tells Arianna to dump EJ as her lawyer - he will get her out of jail. Arianna thinks Rafe is saying this because of Sami. Rafe doesn't deny that he still loves Sami, but they can't be together. EJ arrives. Rafe and EJ almost get into it but Arianna asks Rafe to leave. She admits to EJ that she's worried Woods will deny her bail. EJ says that she's not the one who needs to worry.
Nicole calls Baker, worried EJ has something on her framing Arianna. Nicole is afraid EJ will spring his information on her at the arraignment. Nicole hears someone behind her and turns to see Rafe!
Melanie is a bit too close to the truth for Philip's liking. Elsewhere, Stephanie explains her fears about Philip to Kayla. Later, Stephanie and Kayla confront Philip. Melanie overhears a reference to the child Philip gave up. Melanie questions why Philip gave up his son to strangers and not Kayla and Steve. Philip admits it was because he didn't want the reminder around. After he explains everything, Melanie understands. She asks if he wants another child. He does, but not yet.
Hope overhears Ciara and Theo talking about Hope hugging a strange man. Hope chides Ciara for making up more stories. Ciara denies this and runs to Bo. Meanwhile, Hope overhears Bo, Roman and Abe discussing Arianna's possible innocence. Hope accuses Bo of not trusting her on her case. Bo admits he's concerned that she has spread herself too thin. Later, Hope decides she needs a good night's sleep and takes out her pills.
Shane returns to resolve things with Kimberly. She resists until he shows her the acceptance of his resignation from the ISA. She finally admits when she thought she might die, she didn't want to be without him.
Everyone gathers at the Horton house after the funeral. They exchange fun memories of Alice and watch a tape of her and Tom's second marriage. Later, Maggie is sad about Mia leaving. She says goodbye to Marie and Melissa. Alone, she mourns both Mickey and Alice.
